Project
Four Laning of Warora-Chandrapur-Ballarpur Road Project
Need
Chandrapur district is famous for its sprawling coal mines
and Tadoba wildlife sanctuary, which is an important Tiger
destination in the country. The district as a whole is
rich in the availability of Coal; in addition there are
abundant deposits of Bauxite, Iron ore and clay under the
surface of the earth. This district is also famous in
India for teakwood forest. Based on the localised minerals
and forest products a huge Industrial belt with thermal
power plants, cement factories, steel plants, paper mill,
ordnance factory etc. has been grown up in Chandrapur
district. This has resulted in high traffic movement from
the surrounding districts and states. The proposed road
link is an important link connecting Chandrpur to other
